His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, on 27th May 2025, attended the opening ceremony of the Africa Energy Technology Conference 2025, held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
The theme for this year's conference is "Innovate, Invest, Implement: Revolutionized Financing for Sustainable Energy Sector Growth in Africa."
The discussions during the various sessions focused on identifying ways to build resilient energy systems, foster intra-African collaboration, and leverage the continent’s global influence to create an enabling environment for sustainable energy transformation.
Representatives from various energy organizations were in attendance, alongside Ministers of Government, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and other guests.
The conference was officially opened by Ghana’s Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Hon. Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor.
Statements of commitments, suggestions, and updates on strides made so far on energy transformation in Africa were made by representatives of different organizations, such as those from the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO).
As the conference is to run from 27-29 May 2025, several panel discussions will be held on different topics, including empowering Africa’s progressive, Strengthening Energy Security and economy, Scaling Up Renewable and many more.
