AS HE VISITS HIS TOGOLESE COUNTERPART, H.E. KAISAMBA COMMENDS PRESIDENT BIO’S FEED SALONE INITIATIVE.
The High Commissioner Designate of Sierra Leone, in Accra, Ghana, His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba has during a visit to the Togolese High Commissioner, H.E Colonel Awoki PANASSA reiterated President Julius Maada Bio’s commitment of ensuring a Sierra Leone that feeds itself.
Speaking during the meeting with the meeting, H.E. Kaisamba commended the government of both countries for having maintained strong bilateral ties over the years, while emphasizing his desire to further work on that by deepening economic cooperation and exploring greater opportunities for the good of both countries.
High Commissioner Kaisamba informed his colleague, the Togolese High Commissioner of Ghana that is accredited to Sierra Leone about great strides of president Julius Maada Bio as he continues to prioritize his government’s big five game changers of Feed Salone, Human capital development for nourishing skills for 21st century industry, Youth Empowerment scheme, revamping the public service architecture through delivery, efficiency and professionalism, and technology and infrastructure programs to serve as pathways for sustained economic growth.
This according to H.E kaisamba will allow improvements in areas of trade, agriculture, among others which will eventually could be a path of transformation, leading to poverty reduction, and resilience in external shocks.
With premium attention given to Agriculture by the government of Sierra Leone, it is believed that Sierra Leone will definitely become a nation of food sufficiency, said H.E. Kaisamba.
He concluded by thanking the Togolese High Commissioner for his presence at the airport on his arrival in Ghana on the 1st November and promised a great working relationship.
H. E. Awoki Panassa the High Commissioner of Togo, on his part assured his counterpart of the needed support when necessary with key highlights on a follow-up on the visit made by Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, to the Prime Minister of Togo madam Victoire Dogbe earlier this year, so as to formalize their ideas and discussions into actions.
He said his presence at the airport during H.E. kaisamba’s arrival was on behalf of the High Commission of Togo and the African Group of Ambassadors in Ghana.
Sierra Leone and Togo share many things in common such as trade,ECOWAS membership and have signed similar peace treaties.
