HIGH COMMISSIONER KAISAMBA PRESENT OPEN LETTERS TO FOREIGN MINISTRY IN GHANA.
His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, the High Commissioner Designate of Sierra Leone in Accra, Ghana, presented open letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Honourable Shirley Ayorkor, at the Ministry on Monday.
Shortly before formally presenting the letters, H.E. Kaisamba expressed delight in meeting with the country’s foreign minister and presenting his open letters.
He congratulated her on her recent appointment as Secretary General of the Commonwealth while wishing her well in her new role.
H.E. Kaisamba expressed optimism about a great tour in Ghana and enjoying the necessary support with hopes of further deepening the great bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and Ghana.
He said Ghana for him is like a home away from home as he has enjoyed every bit of its hospitality since his arrival.
Receiving the Open letters from the High Commissioner Designate of Sierra Leone H.E. Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, Honourable Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Ghana, welcomed him and prayed that his time in Ghana will be smooth and fruitful.
With the ministry being his first line while working, she assured him that the ministry would work closely with him to make sure his stay in the country was meaningful and of great benefit to both countries.
Sierra Leone and Ghana, she added, have enjoyed a strong relationship that even existed during the time of the colonial masters and before they both gained independence or the advent of diplomatic relations.
With many Ghanaians having studied at Sierra Leone’s famous Fourah Bay College, lasting relationships were built over those years, with some still very strong.
Honourable Botchway concluded by expressing heartfelt thanks and appreciation while acknowledging the strong support she received from President Julius Maada Bio and his government during her quest to become the Secretary-General, of the Commonwealth.
